Gutted my exhaust back pressure valve with a coated high flow outlet and delete pedistal when I did the conversion from early 99 to late. Didn't install anything like the EBPV Terminator that BWD sells so had the code since the install. Do you need a product like the one BWD is offering, or does something else like a jumper wire override the signal so the engine doesn't throw a code.
Thanks

If you want to keep from setting a code then you will need the code eliminator plug. I didn't care so I just leave the plug hanging in the valley. It doesn't affect runability at all.

What I figured. Just didn't know if that plug was anything more thab a jumper wire.

No, a paper clip would be a near dead short. That is BAD since the PCM drives that output.
You want to simulate the coil resistance in the EBPV activation solenoid. You must be very careful when dealing with computer controls. No test lights, etc. Paperclips are certainly not a good idea unless you know what type of circuit and how the PCM drives the circuit and what protections, if any, are in place.

Exactly what I needed to know. Wasn't sure if the circuit was completed by ground activation or variable ohms. Thanks!

the corect way to do it would be to ohm out the actuator and use a resiter to simulate the actuator
